Marley Financial Services, broker alleged to have placed unlawful telemarketing calls

Phone 01

PITTSBURGH – A Carmichaels insurance broker working out of a Washington County office is alleged to have made unlawful telemarketing calls.

Mark B. Aronson, as assignee of Karen K. Shapiro, filed a complaint on March 7 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Marley Financial Services Inc. and Robert Ryan Loutsion citing the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, Shapiro received a pre-recorded commercial telephone solicitation from the defendants on March 2. She alleges she left her name, address, age and telephone number as prompted by the message and later received a call from Loutsion in response on March 5. The suit states Loutsion later called the following day and left a message on her answering machine regarding an email he sent her.

The plaintiff holds Marley Financial Services Inc. and Loutsion responsible because the defendants allegedly called her without her consent, the pre-recorded message did not provide sufficient information about the call and the call violated TCPA prohibitions regarding spoofing caller IDs.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in the amount of $7,500 each, court costs, and any further relief this court grants. He is representing himself.
