PITTSBURGH — A woman is suing Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for alleged breach of contract.
Maureen Bidamin filed a complaint on March 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the insurance company refused to provide insurance benefits to her even though she allegedly was entitled to them.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she ceased working due to allegedly having several medical impairments and allegedly was initially receiving insurance benefits until they were terminated. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly terminating her insurance benefits without proper cause.
The plaintiff asks the court to declare that she is entitled to all relief under ERISA, plus interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Brian Patrick Bronson of QuatriniRafferty P.C. in Greensburg, Pa.
