PITTSBURGH — An individual is suing the PNC Financial Services Group Inc. for allegedly violating the Family and Medical Leave Act.
Melissa Seabrooke filed a complaint on March 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant imposed several restrictions on her in regards to her FMLA-protected leave.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she filed for FMLA-protected leave in order to be able to take care of her daughter, but she allegedly was threatened to comply with the restrictions that the defendant allegedly imposed. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly placing several restrictions on her, which allegedly forced her to resign from her position.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for economic and liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Blaire Patrick of Kraemer, Manes & Associates LLC in Pittsburgh, Pa.
