Former senior vice president accuses rue21 of breach of contract

Contract 04

PITTSBURGH — An individual is suing rue21 and Michael Appel for alleged breach of contract.

Tari Huddleston filed a complaint on March 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendants failed to provide her with a written notice before she was terminated.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff, who allegedly worked as a senior vice president, alleges that she was suddenly terminated without prior notice. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly breaching their contractual agreement by terminating her employment without providing a 30-day notice.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court, plus liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Ryan P. Stewart and Noah R. Jordan of Rothman Gordon P.C. in Pittsburgh.
