PHILADELPHIA — A company is suing Sweet Little Trends for alleged copyright infringement.
Wrangler Apparel Corp. filed a complaint on March 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant used it trademarked stitched designs without consent.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it was damaged due to having its stitch design copied without consent. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly selling products, including jeans, casual pants and shorts, that allegedly featured the plaintiff's stitch design.
The plaintiff seeks to enjoin the defendant from further infringing upon its trademark. The plaintiff also is seeking an order for the defendant to engage in corrective advertising, pay damages, treble damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants.
