Valiant Power Group allegedly failed to make monthly contributions

PHILADELPHIA — Two labor funds and a trustee are suing Valiant Energy Services LLC d/b/a Valiant Power Group for alleged breach of contract.

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union No. 654 Health and Welfare Fund; International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union No. 654 Pension Fund; and Paul Mullen, trustee of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union No. 654 Benefit Funds, filed a complaint on March 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant failed to make its monthly contributions.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they were damaged financially due to unpaid and late contributions. The plaintiffs hold the defendant responsible for allegedly breaching their bargaining agreement by failing to remit its employees' monthly contributions.

The plaintiffs seek judgment in the amount of $44,657.36 plus other amounts due and owing, court costs, interest, injunctive relief, liquidated damages and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Nicholas J. Botta of Spear Wilderman P.C. in Philadelphia.
