Manor Care of America Inc., others allegedly failed to prevent patient from falling

PITTSBURGH — Two individuals are suing ManorCare of America Inc., HCR ManorCare Inc. d/b/a HCR ManorCare, Health Care and Retirement Corporation of America LLC, ManorCare Health Services Inc., HCR ManorCare Properties LLC and ManorCare North Hills of Pittsburgh PA LLC for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Robert J. Kusluch and Geraldine Kusluch filed a complaint on March 19 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, alleging that the defendants failed to provide Robert J. Kusluch with proper care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Robert J. Kusluch experienced great pain due to allegedly suffering a fall that allegedly caused him to seriously injure his right knee. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise and assist Robert J. Kusluch in order to prevent him from falling.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court, plus interest and court costs. They are represented by Julie A. Jones of Hal K. Waldman & Assoc. LLC in Pittsburgh.
