PITTSBURGH — An individual is suing Nikki Dunleavy, Recreate Ur Space, Lloyd Harter, Your Buddies Contracting and Thomas Smith for alleged violations of the Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act and breach of contract.
Denise McCarthy filed a complaint on March 16 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, alleging that the defendants carried out a rehabilitative project with poor workmanship.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she sustained financial damages due to allegedly making payments for a project that was done with poor workmanship. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly constructing a deck on her house in a unworkmanlike manner.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Matthew J. Scanlon and Timothy Grant Wojton of Scanlon & Wojton LLC in Pittsburgh.
