PITTSBURGH — A disabled person is suing Khaled Aziz, Allegheny Clinic f/k/a Allegheny Specialty Practice Network and Allegheny Health Network d/b/a Allegheny General Hospital for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Erica Freas, an incapacitated person, filed a complaint via her guardian, Ralph Freas, on March 29 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, alleging that the defendants failed to provide her with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she sustained disabling injuries in March 2016 that were allegedly caused by a surgical operation that she underwent to remove a tumor from her head. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly using incorrect equipment and/or techniques during the operation.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Paul A. Lagnese and David M. Paul of Berger & Lagnese LLC in Pittsburgh.
