Rumer Cosmetic Surgery allegedly failed to properly perform gender reassignment surgery

PHILADELPHIA — A patient is suing Dr. Kathy L. Rumer and Delaware Valley Aestherics PLLC d/b/a Rumer Cosmetic Surgery for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Nicole Coley filed a complaint on March 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendants failed to properly perform a gender reassignment procedure on her, which allegedly caused serious discomfort and injuries.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she sustained serious physical injuries due to allegedly undergoing a gender reassignment procedure that was improperly done. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to make sure that she did not sustain injuries after the procedure.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Kristy L. Bruce of the Rubinstein Law Firm LLC in Hamilton, N.J.
