HARRISBURG — A company is suing Meeker Equipment Co. Inc. for alleged breach of contract.

Laurel Sand & Gravel Inc. filed a complaint on March 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant failed to properly perform the work it allegedly was contracted to do.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages due to allegedly having to remedy the defects of an entire dryer drum. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to properly install the dryer drum in its asphalt plant, which allegedly required the plaintiff to purchase and install various items.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for compensatory damages in an amount that is equal or greater than $75,000 plus interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. The plaintiff is represented by Bradford Dorrance of Keefer Wood Allen & Rahal LLP in Harrisburg, Pa.
