Therapy Source Inc. allegedly fired employee because she became pregnant

PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing Therapy Source Inc., her former employer, for alleged discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Jessica Gerber filed a complaint on April 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she has suffered lost wages, bonuses, pay increases, medical benefits and other benefits due to her employment allegedly being terminated. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly discriminating against her based on her gender and firing her because she became pregnant.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual, compensatory and punitive damages; litigation costs and expenses; and all other equitable and legal relief the court deems appropriate. She is represented by Timothy M. Kolman, Wayne A. Ely and W. Charles Sipio of Kolman Ely PC in Penndel.
