PHILADELPHIA — An African-American employee is suing Harrah's Philadelphia Casino & Race Track for allegedly subjecting her to discrimination and retaliation.

Kiana King filed a complaint on April 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she lost wages, pay increases, bonuses and benefits as a result of the defendant's allegedly discriminatory conduct. The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual, compensatory and punitive damages; litigation costs and expenses; and all equitable and legal relief that the court deems appropriate. She is represented by Timothy M. Kolman, Wayne A. Ely and W. Charles Sipio of Kolman Ely PC in Penndel.
