PITTSBURGH — An individual is suing Career Concepts Staffing Services Inc., citing alleged unlawful denial of employment.

Sheila Hosmer filed a complaint on April 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Pennsylvania Human Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she wasn't hired for a job despite allegedly being able to perform all the essential functions of the position. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to accept her second drug test after she allegedly failed the first one even though she allegedly had a prescription for pain medication.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages, legal fees, pre-judgment interest, court costs and any further relief that is just and proper. She is represented by Sean L. Ruppert of Kraemer, Manes & Associates LLC in Pittsburgh.
