Charter Communications Inc. allegedly fired employee without justifiable cause

Wrongful term 09

PITTSBURGH — An individual is suing Charter Communications Inc. for alleged disability discrimination.

John C. Keith filed a complaint on April 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was fired from his job on Dec. 5, 2016 for repeatedly requesting voice-recognition software and modified job duties to accommodate his disability. The plaintiff claims that he has suffered financial damages, severe emotional distress and embarrassment. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to provide him with reasonable accommodation and then allegedly terminated his employment without a justifiable cause.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, litigation costs and expenses, pre-judgment interest and all other relief that is just and appropriate. He is represented by Adam J. Williams in Erie, Pa.
