PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing Sussex Wire Inc. for alleged disability discrimination and retaliation.

Erik Dahlin filed a complaint on April 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated the Americans with Disabilities Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was deprived of an employment opportunity, which allegedly caused him to suffer financial damages and severe emotional, psychological and physical distress. The plaintiff claims that the defendant fired him in retaliation for requesting accommodation for his disability .

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, plus interest, attorney's fees, costs and any further relief the court deems just and equitable. He is represented by George S. Kounoupis of Hahalis & Kounoupis PC in Bethlehem.
