PHILADELPHIA — A couple residing in Jamison, Pa. has filed a lawsuit against Thi Thi Kim Tran, Vi Tran and Lien Tran for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Richard W. Maurer and Dawn Schrenk-Maurer filed a complaint on April 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that Vi Tran and/or Lien Tran negligently entrusted a vehicle to Thi Thi Kim Tran, who then allegedly operated it in a careless manner.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Maurer was injured when his vehicle allegedly was struck by the vehicle driven by Thi Thi Kim Tran, who allegedly was within the course and scope of her employment with Vi Tran and/or Lien Tran at the time of the accident. The plaintiffs claim that Maurer suffered injuries to his left shoulder, left elbow and left wrist. The plaintiffs hold Thi Thi Kim Tran responsible for allegedly driving the vehicle recklessly and for allegedly failing to keep a proper lookout.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages in an amount that exceeds $75,000, plus costs, interest and any other applicable relief. They are represented by Thomas P. Donnelly of Antheil Maslow & MacMinn LLP in Doylestown.
