PITTSBURGH — An individual has filed a class action lawsuit against Aquatech International LLC for allegedly failing to pay overtime compensation.

Jill Ferguson filed a complaint on April 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked more than 40 hours per week from Sept. 8, 2014 until she was fired in January 2018 without receiving overtime wages. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly classifying her as exempt from the overtime provisions of the FLSA and PMWA and for allegedly refusing to pay her overtime compensation.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorneys' fees and any further relief that is necessary and proper. She is represented by Joseph H. Chivers in Pittsburgh and John R. Linkosky of John R. Linkosky & Associates in Carnegie.
