Law money 10

PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing FMC Corporation for allegedly failing to pay overtime wages.

Johann Sharp filed a complaint on April 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked over 40 hours per week without receiving overtime compensation. She claims that she was paid a monthly salary regardless of the number of hours she actually worked. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly misclassifying her as exempt from overtime pay.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all unpaid overtime compensation, plus interest and penalties, attorney's fees, costs and any further lawful and proper relief. She is represented by Michael Murphy and Michael Groh of Murphy Law Group LLC in Philadelphia.
