Mid-Atlantic Mechanical Inc. allegedly failed to pay overtime wages

PHILADELPHIA — A plumber is suing Mid-Atlantic Mechanical Inc. for allegedly failing to pay overtime wages.

Thomas McMaster filed a complaint on April 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he regularly worked more than 40 hours per week without receiving overtime compensation. He claims that he has suffered $3,731.25 in damages for unpaid overtime wages. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to pay him 1.5 times his regular rate for all the overtime hours he worked.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, costs, attorney's fees and any further just and proper relief. He is represented by Angeli Murthy of Morgan & Morgan PA in Plantation, Fla.
