PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing her former employer, Senior Care Centers of Pennsylvania Inc. d/b/a Active Day of Overbook Park, for alleged pregnancy discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Nakisha Jones filed a complaint on April 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated the Pregnancy Discrimination Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was fired in 2017 while she was taking a pregnancy-related leave of absence.
