PITTSBURGH — An individual is suing Lowe's Companies Inc. for alleged gender discrimination and wrongful termination.

Jane Doe filed a complaint on April 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered financial and emotional damages as a result of allegedly being fired from her job because of her gender. The plaintiff also claims that her supervisor subjected her to sexual harassment and replaced her with a man who was less qualified than her. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly discriminating against her based on her gender.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, court costs, attorney's fees, pre-judgment and continuing interest and any other necessary and proper relief. She is represented by Sean L. Ruppert of Kraemer, Manes & Associates LLC in Pittsburgh.
