PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing her former employer, Pennsylvania Hospital, for alleged disability discrimination.

Nellie Logan filed a complaint on April 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant terminated her contract because she allegedly suffers from multiple sclerosis. As a result, she claims that she has suffered financial damages, pain, emotional distress and humiliation. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly firing her because of her alleged disability.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $150,000, plus costs, disbursement, attorney's fees and any other equitable relief. She is represented by Michael Murphy of Murphy Law Group LLC in Philadelphia.
