PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing his former employer, Bosch Security Systems Inc., for alleged age discrimination and wrongful termination.
Hung M. Nguyen filed a complaint on April 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that the defendant fired him because of his age and then allegedly assigned his job duties to two younger employees. He allegedly was 54 years old at the time. As a result, the plaintiff claims that he has suffered financial damages, mental anguish, emotional pain, emotional distress and damage to his reputation. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly discriminating against him by terminating his employment on account of his age.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for at least $175,000 in damages, plus costs, disbursements, attorneys' fees and any other just and equitable relief. He is represented by Thomas R. Davies and Maryfrances T. Cooper of Harmon & Davies PC in Lancaster.
