PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing her former employers, Stitch Fix Inc. Bethlehem and Stitch Fix Inc. San Francisco, for alleged pregnancy discrimination and wrongful termination.
Ashley Wilson filed a complaint on April 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendants violated the Pregnancy Discrimination Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was fired form her job because she was pregnant As a result, she allegedly has suffered financial damages, emotional distress and pain. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to grant her a half-day off of work for an ultrasound appointment and then allegedly fired her because of her pregnancy.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, attorney's fees, costs, interest and all other equitable relief. She is represented by Graham F. Baird of Law Offices of Eric A. Shore PC in Philadelphia.
