PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing Trans Union LLC, Experian Information Solutions Inc. and Contract Callers Inc. for alleged defamation of character.

Mary Clark Dayton Fiero filed a complaint on April 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendants violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that his credit score has dropped substantially because the defendants allegedly included inaccurate information in their credit reports. As a result, the plaintiff claims that he had to refrain from applying for additional credit and suffered serious financial harm. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to perform reasonable reinvestigations, remove the inaccurate information and note the disputed status of the inaccurate information.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order directing the defendants to delete all of the inaccurate information from their credit reports, plus statutory and punitive damages and any other relief the court deems just. She is represented by Brent F. Vullings of Vullings Law Group LLC in Collegeville.
