PHILADELPHIA — An individual is suing her former employer, the Neiman Marcus Group LLC, and several individuals for alleged age discrimination.
Rosina Welsh Morene filed a complaint on April 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendants violated the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Civil Rights Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was fired because of her age, medical conditions, disability and race. As a result, she claims that she has suffered and will continue to suffer financial damages, embarrassment and emotional distress. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly retaliating against her for reporting the alleged discrimination.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount to be determined at trial, plus interest, attorneys’ fees, costs, disbursements and any other just and proper relief. She is represented by Caroline Hope Miller of Derek Smith Law Group PLLC in Philadelphia.
