Vaco Philadelphia accused of wrongful termination

PHILADELPHIA — An Asian-American employee is suing her former employer, Vaco Philadelphia LLC, for alleged discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Jennifer Pham filed a complaint on April 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that the defendant violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was fired from her job for reporting that she had been subjected to racial discrimination and harassment. As a result, the plaintiff claims that she has suffered financial damages, emotional pain, emotional distress and humiliation.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in the amount of $150,000, plus pre-judgment interest, attorney's fees, costs and any other just and equitable relief. She is represented by Michael Murphy of Murphy Law Group LLC in Philadelphia.
