PHILADELPHIA — A motorist is suing Jared Downing and Jon and Judith Downing for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Julian Huczko filed a complaint on April 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that Jared Downing failed to exercise reasonable care while driving a motor vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was driving her mother's motor vehicle on June 4, 2016 when Jared Downing, who allegedly was operating a vehicle owned by Jon and Judith Downing, allegedly rear-ended her vehicle. As a result, she claims that she has suffered severe and permanent injuries. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because Jared Downing allegedly was driving at an excessive rate of speed and failed to use evasive actions to avoid the accident.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in an amount that exceeds $50,000, plus interest and any other just and equitable relief. She is represented by Leonardo G. Villari of Villari, Lentz & Lynam LLC in Philadelphia.
