Woman blames Springfield Country Club, Finley Catering for slip and fall

Slip01

MEDIA — A Newtown Square resident is suing events venue and catering company Springfield Country Club Inc. and Finley Catering Co Inc., citing alleged negligence resulting in a fall.

Linda Boyajian filed a complaint June 8 in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County, alleging that the defendants negligently allowed tablecloths to hang close enough to the ground for people to trip over them.

According to the complaint, Boyajian allegedly suffered fractures requiring surgery on her arm on July 16, 2016 because she slipped and fell when she came in contact with a tablecloth while she was walking at the venue.

The plaintiff claimed the defendants allegedly failed to use reasonable care to keep the area safe.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks a judgment against defendants in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus interest and costs. She is represented by James Famiglio of Law Offices James D. Famiglio PC in Media.
