SCRANTON — Tax attorney Nathaniel Lane Strand is suing a former client, citing alleged defamation.

Strand filed a complaint June 21 in the Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas against Eran Elhanani, alleging that the former client falsely claimed the plaintiff refused to help him with a levy on his bank account.

According to the complaint, as a result of the defendant's alleged malicious reviews on Yelp and Google My Business pages, Strand's personal and business reputation was damaged.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks a judgment ordering the defendant to remove the defamatory reviews from Google, Yelp and any other websites, an award for costs, fees and other appropriate relief. He is representing himself.
