SCRANTON — A patron is suing Hammerjax Bar & Grill and Hammerjax LLC, restaurant operators, citing alleged negligence.
Claire Zicchinelli filed a complaint June 27 in Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas, alleging that the defendants failed to keep their restaurant in a reasonably safe condition.
According to the complaint, Zicchinelli allegedly tripped on uneven steps at the defedant's restaurant in Clifton Township on June 22, 2017, causing her to fall and be injured.
Zicchinelli said the defendants should be held responsible because they allegedly left the steps in a dangerous condition for a prolonged period of time and failed to provide proper safety warnings.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks a judgment in an amount in excess of $50,000. She is represented by Brandon Swartz and Todd Felzer of Swartz Culleton PC in Newton.
