Law money 09

PITTSBURGH — Duquesne Light Co. is suing Precision Pointing and Restoration Inc. and John Hudak, citing alleged negligence.

Duquesne Light filed a complaint July 6 in the Allegheny County Courts of Common Pleas, alleging that Precision failed to ensure that its driver was able to safely and legally operate its vehicle.

According to the complaint, Hudak was driving a vehicle owned by Precision on Sept. 3, 2016 when he allegedly hit a Duquesne Light utility pole and electrical facilities, resulting in $43,465.32 in damage.

Duquesne Light claims Hudak was driving too fast, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to stop or swerve to avoid striking the plaintiff's property.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $43,465.32, with interest, costs and other appropriate relief. It is represented by Tara R. Pfeifer.
