Peco Energy claims inexperienced driver damaged utility pole

Car accident 18

MEDIA — Peco Energy Co. is suing John Helm and Nancy Travers, a vehicle driver and owner, citing alleged negligence that resulted in damage to a utility pole.

Peco filed a complaint July 23 in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, alleging that defendant Travers negligently entrusted her vehicle to defendant Helm, an incompetent and inexperienced driver.

According to the complaint, Helm hit a ground utility pole in Folcroft Borough on Sept. 24, 2017, allegedly resulting in $20,776.20 in damages.

Peco claims Helm was allowed to drive Travers' vehicle without a valid license and while under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks a judgment in the amount of $20,776.20, plus costs, interest and all other relief as allowed by law. It is represented by Susan Foehl.
