ECKERT SEAMAN CHERIN & MELLOT: Eckert Seamans welcomes Amy Mathieu to Pittsburgh office and Litigation Division

Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott issued the following announcement on July 30.

Eckert Seamans is pleased to welcome associate Amy Mathieu to the firm’s Pittsburgh office and Litigation Division. She concentrates her practice on commercial litigation matters and has experience in a wide variety of complex civil litigation, including breach of contract actions, construction delay, defective work, and nonpayment claims, insurance matters, restrictive covenants, and derivative actions.

Prior to joining the firm, Mathieu served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Christine Ward of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Civil Division. She also served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Maurice B. Cohill Jr., Senior District Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Mathieu earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2016 and her B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013. As a law student, she served as the lead notes and comments editor on the editorial for the University of Pittsburgh Journal of Law and Commerce.
