Couple claims MDI Haverford did not provide safe conditions

MEDIA — A Narberth couple is suing MDI Haverford, Tri-State Imaging Group and Akumin Holdings Corp., citing alleged negligence.

Anthony Lepera and Mary Lepera filed a complaint Aug. 10 in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, claiming the defendants failed to provide a safe environment.

According to the complaint, Anthony Lepera went to the defedants' imaging facility on Sept. 2, 2017 for a study of his pelvis. While changing clothes in the bathroom, he allegdly slid down a wall onto the floor, resulting in a fracture.

The plaintiffs said the defendants should be held responsible because they allegedly failed to provide assistance, proper seating and safe accommodations.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek a judgment in an amount in excess of $50,000, with interest and costs. They are represented by Irene McLafferty and Ashley DiLiberto of Messa & Associates PC in Philadelphia.
