PITTSBURGH — A Trafford mother and son say a visit to Monroeville Mall ended in injuries and a 911 call.

Michelle Eastwood, on behalf of Aiden Holocek, filed a complaint on July 17 in the Allegheny County Courts of Common Pleas against Gymboree Group Inc., parent company of Crazy 8 clothing store.

According to the complaint, a store employee attacked Eastwood, punching and scratching her. When 10-year-old Holocek tried to intervene, the employee scratched him, too, the complaint states. Eastwood claims she suffered significant injuries to her head, neck, arms, legs and back. Holecek suffered injuries to his leg, abrasions, scratches and cuts. The plaintiffs allege another employee did not try and stop the attack.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages in excess of the prevailing arbitration limits. They are represented by Robert A. Bracken of Bracken Law Firm in Pittsburgh.
