Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott issued the following announcement on Sept. 4.

Eckert Seamans is pleased to welcome associate Thomas E. Sanchez back to the firm’s Pittsburgh office and Litigation Division. He litigates commercial disputes and has represented a wide variety of corporations in complex commercial litigation. He represents clients in cases concerning contract disputes, business torts, product liability, patent infringement, unfair competition, business dissolution matters, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, oil and gas energy litigation, and environmental matters. He has extensive experience in numerous state and federal trial and appellate courts across the country and before the American Arbitration Association.

Previously, Sanchez clerked for The Honorable Yvette Kane of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and worked for an international law firm.

Sanchez earned his J.D., magna cum laude, in 2011 from the University of New Hampshire School of Law, where he was a Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Student and chief articles editor of the University of New Hampshire Law Review. He earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Allegheny College in 2007.
