MEDIA — A woman is suing Southeast Delco School District, citing alleged negligence.
Brittany Anderson filed a complaint on Aug. 29 in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas against Southeast Delco School District, alleging it failed to adequately maintain its premises in a reasonably safe condition.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 11, 2017, she was working at Today's Child Learning housed within defendant's premises when she slipped, stumbled and fell on a wet floor.
She allegedly suffered severe and permanent injuries and incurred medical bills in excess of $24,554 and Workers' Compensation lien of $67,252.90. The plaintiff holds Southeast Delco School District responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently permitted the accumulated water to remain on the floor for a prolonged period of time and failed to provide adequate warning of the existing danger.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount exceeding $50,000. She is represented by Mark Jaffe of McCann & Wall LLC in Philadelphia.
