PITTSBURGH — A business invitee is suing Charter Foods, d/b/a Taco Bell and Key Place Associates, citing alleged negligence.

Andrea Reynolds filed a complaint in the Allegheny County Courts of Common Pleas Oct. 8 against the defendants, alleging they failed to maintain the premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 2, she was legally on defendants' premises when she slipped and fell on ice located near the parking lot. She sustained serious personal injuries and suffered great financial loss, scarring, disfigurement and medical expenses, the suit says.

The plaintiff holds Charter Foods, d/b/a Taco Bell and Key Place Associates responsible because the defendants allegedly negligently allowed the dangerous and unsafe condition to exist near the parking lot, failed to timely clean the walkways, and failed to barricade or block off the area with the defective condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of $35,000, plus costs and such other relief deemed just. She is represented by Marc Simon, Jason Whalley, Ryan Flaherty, Amanda Nese, Julian Corbett and Garth Garlin of Simon & Simon PC in Pittsburgh.
