PHILADELPHIA — A business invitee is suing First Group America, d/b/a Greyhound Lines Inc., a transportation company, citing alleged negligence.

Troyah Yarweh filed a complaint on Oct. 12 in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas against First Group America, d/b/a Greyhound Lines Inc., alleging the transportation company breached its duty to maintain its premises reasonably safe for its invitees.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 16 he was caused to slip and fall on a wet substance on the steps of defendant's Greyhound bus. He says he sustained serious and permanent injuries resulting in great financial loss, mental anguish and medical expenses. The plaintiff holds First Group America, d/b/a Greyhound Lines Inc., responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to remove the wet substance on the steps and failed to give adequate notice about it.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs and such other necessary relief. He is represented by Marc Simon of Simon & Simon PC in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas Case No. is 2:18-cv-04423-CDJ.
