Hollidaysburg couple sue blasting company for alleged negligence

Lawsuits

PITTSBURGH — A Hollidaysburg couple are suing Blast-All LLC, alleging negligence.

Ronald J. Delbiondo and Lori Delbiondo filed a complaint recently in the Cambria County Court of Common Pleas against the defendants, alleging they failed to clear a blast site prior to initiation. On Nov. 5, the defendants removed the case to U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 4, 2016, Ronald Delbiondo sustained serious and severe injuries that resulted in bilateral hearing loss, bilateral tinnitus, post-traumatic stress disorder and recurrent nightmares. The plaintiff holds Blast-All LLC and Blast-All Inc. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to ensure that adequate distance was maintained and that sufficient protection was used by those near the blast site.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants, jointly and severally, in an amount in excess of the jurisdictional limits of the court, with interest and costs. They are represented by Nathaniel Smith of Goldstein, Heslop, Steele, Clapper, Oswalt & Smith in Altoona.
