PHILADELPHIA — A former driver is suing Liberation House LLC, citing alleged disability discrimination and wrongful termination.

Purell Curbean filed a complaint Nov. 16 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging they failed to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 2, 2017, he was terminated from his employment. He sustained great economic loss, loss of future earnings, emotional distress, humiliation and pain and suffering. The plaintiff holds Liberation House LLC, et al, responsible because the defendants allegedly subjected him to a hostile work environment and adverse employment actions and terminated his employment because of his disability.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of $150,000, punitive damages, attorney's fees, costs and such other just, proper and equitable relief. He is represented by Graham Baird of Law Offices of Eric A. Shore PC in Philadelphia.

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Case No. is 2:18-cv-04956-MSG.
