Reginald L. Streater, an Associate in Archer’s Haddonfield office, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Pennsylvania.
In his new role on the Greater Philadelphia Chapter’s Board of Directors, Reginald will help support and further the ACLU of Pennsylvania’s mission through the planning of public events and other activities, to promote civil liberties and the work of the ACLU throughout the local community. He will work to engage and expand local membership, as well as assist with fundraising efforts for the ACLU of Pennsylvania.
Local chapters of the ACLU are made up of groups of volunteers. The Greater Philadelphia Chapter includes Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. Founded in 1920, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to defending and protecting an individual rights and personal freedoms. Through advocacy, education and litigation, their attorneys, advocates and volunteers work to preserve and promote civil liberties, including the freedom of speech, the right to privacy, reproductive freedom, and equal treatment under the law.
Reginald focuses his practice on commercial and complex litigation. His clients range from individuals and small businesses, to large corporations and public entities. Reginald handles a variety of litigation matters, including contract disputes, federal claims, federal civil rights claims, insurance matters, labor and employment claims, fraud claims, and tort claims in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
