Lawsuits
Wrongful term 10

PHILADELPHIA — A merchandiser is suing his former employer for allegedly terminating him due to his age.

John Hughes filed a complaint on Nov. 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Muller Inc., alleging the former employer violated the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jun 11 he was terminated from his employment for alleged performance reasons. However, Hughes alleges he was terminated due to his age and was replaced with a substantially younger employee.

The plaintiff claims he has suffered loss of compensation and benefits, insurance coverages and retirement benefits.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and punitive damages, costs, attorney's fees and such other proper and just relief. He is represented by William Fox of Law Office of William J. Fox in Philadelphia.

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Case No. is 2:18-cv-05013-AB.
