MEDIA — A South Carolina couple are suing Harrah's Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack, and others companies, citing alleged negligence.

Dawn Gregorio and Mark Gregorio filed a complaint on Nov. 28 in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas against the defendants, alleging they breached their duty to maintain the premises and parking lot in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on May 30, 2017, Dawn Gregorio was walking in defendants' Harrah's Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack's parking garages when she tripped, stumbled and fell on a cracked manhole.

She sustained serious and painful injuries to her left shoulder, left ankle, left foot and neck, the suit says. Mark Gregorio suffered loss of consortium and society of his wife. The plaintiffs say the defendants failed to properly repair the defective manhole and failed to provide adequate warning of the existing danger.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages in an amount greater than $50,000, plus interest and costs. They are represented by James Murphy of Kane & Silverman in Philadelphia.
