MEDIA — An estate administrator is suing Jose Maceda, M.D., and other medical care providers, citing alleged medical professional liability.

Daniel Gallo, as administrator of the estate of Jacqueline Gallo and in his own right, filed a complaint on Dec. 19 in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, alleging the medical care providers failed to properly treat Jacqueline Gallo's urinary tract infection.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Jacqueline Gallo was under the care of defendants for treatment of urinary tract infection. As a result of their negligent acts and omissions, she developed severe urosepsis, renal calculi and septic shock, the suit says.

She died on Jan. 4, 2017. The plaintiff says the defendants failed to perform examination, evaluation and testing for renal calculi and failed to provide adequate and appropriate treatment for escherichia coli infection.

Defendants include Delaware Valley Urogynecology, Health Access Network, Prospect Provider Group, Main Line Hospitals and Paoli Hospital.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in his favor in an amount in excess of the arbitration limits of the court, with interest, costs and such appropriate relief. He is represented by Thomas Kline and Barry Magen of Kline & Specter PC in Philadelphia.
