PITTSBURGH — A technician is suing Hruska Mechanical LLC, an HVAC company, citing alleged disability discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Charles A. Curiale filed a complaint on Dec. 20 in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas against Hruska Mechanical LLC, alleging the HVAC company engaged in unlawful employment practices.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 8, 2016, he was terminated from his employment. He has allegedly suffered lost wages, pension benefits, insurance benefits and other fringe benefits. He also allegedly lost the opportunity to continue a gainful equipment.

The plaintiff holds Hruska Mechanical LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide reasonable accommodation and retaliated against him by terminating his employment for filing workers' compensation claims.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in his favor for actual and compensatory damages. He is represented by Neal Sanders in Kittanning.

The Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Case No. is 18-16983.
