Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Elizabeth D. Sigety, who was appointed to serve on the board of the Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce and accepted to the Select Greater Philadelphia Emissary Program.
The Philadelphia-Israel Chamber of Commerce is an independent nonprofit that connects tristate businesses, academic institutions, government agencies and economic development organizations to help create joint ventures between local and Israeli companies. The Emissary Program, made up of diverse business and civic leaders in the Greater Philadelphia Area, market the 11 county region to a national audience as an area that is economically rich and resourceful for new businesses and professional growth.
As a member of these organizations, Sigety will apply her extensive industry knowledge and experience in the local community to help promote the growth, development and visibility of the region’s businesses to a global audience.
Sigety is a Partner at Fox Rothschild LLP, a national law firm with approximately 900 attorneys in 27 offices coast to coast. She is co-chair of the firm’s National Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Practice and co-chair of the firm’s Franchising, Licensing and Distribution Practice. For almost 30 years, she has been a trusted adviser to clients, including startup companies and entrepreneurs, handling business and financial transactions such as venture capital and angel financing, mergers and acquisitions, franchising, securities, private placements, franchise regulatory matters and franchise agreements.
Sigety is also Managing Director and Co-Founder of Delaware Crossing Investor Group, an angel investor network with chapters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In this capacity, she has been investing and advising start-up companies in the PA, NJ, NY, CT and DE region for 15 years.
In addition to her recent appointments, Sigety is a board member of the Private Investors Forum, which produces the Angel Venture Fair and related events throughout the year. She is active with the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies, the Pennsylvania Angel Network, the Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs and the International Franchise Association Women’s Franchise Committee as well as other organizations. She is a frequent speaker and writer, particularly on issues facing franchise and emerging businesses, as well as issues pertaining to women's entrepreneurship.
She earned her J.D. from the University of Chicago and her B.A., cum laude, from Yale College.
