PITTSBURGH — A business entity is suing Sarah Wang, administrator of the estate of Daniel C. Wang, after the deceased's standoff with police resulted in damage to neighboring townhouses.

Leisure Lifestyles LLC filed a complaint on Jan. 4 in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas against Sarah Wang, administrator of the estate of Daniel C. Wang, alleging decedent breached his duty to refrain from behavior that had an extremely high likelihood of causing damage to neighboring townhouses.

In February 2017, police came to the house for a report of shots being fired. They also observed smoke coming out of the windows, reports say.

Ultimately, he set fire to the residence while talking with a negotiator, police said.

According to the complaint, a neighboring townhouse unit at Patrick Place in South Park suffered fire, smoke and water damage as well as loss of rents totaling $94,750.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in the amount over and above the arbitration limits of the court, including costs and expenses. He is represented by John Wainright of Meyer, Darragh, Buckler, Bebenek & Eck in Pittsburgh.
